In this series we are teaching students to learn about seasons through observation of a tree outside the classroom. Students will learn about the adopted tree in the summer season.

Lesson Plans - AugustTo provide a theme-based field day every four years that helps celebrate the Summer Olympics. First grade students will demonstrate their understanding of summer safety by creating guidelines for Summer Safety posters. 
This telephone call really helps to renew the connection between old/new students with the teacher. I look forward to this every year and I know the students do also. This is a fun activity to get the kids thinking about what to expect in their upcoming summer months. |
