Seussology Fun With Dr. Seuss’ Stories

This online lesson allows students to plan and create their own Dr. Seuss themed attraction for a Dr. Seussland theme park.

The standard that is being addressed is: Demonstrate competence in the general skills and strategies of the reading process.

Why Not a Woman?

You will work in groups to investigate some federal holidays and learn why those holidays are observed. Then your group will choose a woman it thinks should be honored with a federal holiday, and create a presentation to convince your classmates to nominate that woman.

This is a spelling “active-ity” that also reinforces students’ knowledge of the computer keyboard.
