Students will be able to identify things living in the ocean.
Students will use the World Almanac to determine the area of each of the world’s four largest oceans and the area of the United States. Then students will list the areas in order from largest to smallest, comparing the size of each ocean to the United States. Students will be able to explain which ocean is larger, how much larger each ocean is as compared to the United States, and explain in writing how their answers were arrived at.
Adjust your goggles and tighten your swim fins! Dive beneath the ocean surface to explore breathtakingly beautiful coral reefs and the thousands of species they shelter. Create a coral reef ecosystem in your own undersea diorama.
Get ready to tackle real life Olympic Winter Games scenarios with new project packs.
Students will create their own P- & S-wave travel chart and develop a better
understanding of the relationship between the two wave types, travel times, and travel distances.
