The Hanukat story provides an opportunity for the introduction of Hanukkah Holiday concepts. Below is a description of some of the ways HanuKat can be incorporated into your December Holiday activities. Students will understand why Hanukkah is important to the Jewish people. 2. Students will be able to recognize that symbols and customs have meaning in celebrations. They help us remember what we are celebrating. Read aloud a simple telling of the Hanukkah story and follow up with a handful of across-the-curriculum activities. Students create dreidels, traditional Hanukkah toys, from common materials and play the dreidel game! |
