After listening to Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch stole Christmas, students create a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the two main characters.

The students will practice writing a narrative work as they explain how the Grinch became the way that he did. They will explain how his heart became two sizes too small and why he hated Christmas so much. Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday with a series of fun art activities based on his books.
