K-12 Teacher Bill of Rights
Teachers have the right to teach students prepared to learn.
Teachers have the right to feel safe and secure in their teaching environment without the threat of life and limb.
Teachers have the right to receive student text books, school supplies and equipment they need.
Teachers have the right to not be held responsible for their student's performance on state mandated achievement tests.
Teachers have the right to be provided with the ways and means to teach.
Teachers have the right to be a student's advocate.
Teachers have the right to a decent living and to be treated as professionals.
Teachers have the right to be reimbursed for all continuing education they must take to keep their certification.
Teachers have the right to the title of educator rather than just teacher because in the end ...I am, because I teach.
