Poetic Justice: Understanding the Life of a Tethered Dog
Students will review, identify, and explain how language develops mood and meaning. Students will also review the topic of author’s purpose using details from the text. Figurative language will be identified and examined in terms of how it is used to describe characters and objects.

•
highlighters for each student
•
lined paper for each student
•
construction paper for each student
•
pens or pencils for each student
•
crayons, markers, or other art supplies
•
tape or rubber cement
