2. Bring Chinese inventions from home.
3. Observe teacher demonstrate how to make a compass.
4. Make a compass with a partner.

2. Look What Came From China by Miles Harvey
3. Chart paper and markers
4. Materials for making compasses: Large bowl of water, magnet, needle, cork (one set of these supplies for each compass being made.)
