Students will: discuss paintings by Vincent van Gogh, independently develop a classification method for trees, create leaf rubbings, and learn about the ways to calculate the age of a tree. Students will observe, measure, and sort tree leaves. Students will examine leaves individually, in groups, and in relationship to the entire tree. Complete the chart that shows locations and sizes of some of the biggest trees in the United States. |
