This lesson focuses on why the disastrous numbers surrounding the AIDS epidemic in Africa exist. It asks students to explore what is being done, and what can be done, to ease the situation.
Students will do the following:
1. Examine the physical effects of AIDS
2. Study the plight of people living with AIDS and the effects on their families and friends
This activity engages students in learning about the AIDS epidemic and focuses them on the importance of HIV prevention, at home and abroad
