This unit is comprised of a series of activities to have children discover the presence and importance of insects throughout history.

Insect Travel Brochure

This activity is intended to help students in understanding habitat, and the different producers and consumers within a habitat. This is an activity for seventh graders that will take 2-3 days to complete. In this activity the students will gain a better understanding of trophic levels and how different organisms interact.

Who Lives Here?

The students will be able to identify camouflage as an example of adaptation and describe the importance of adaptations.

“What Insect Am I”

Familiarize the students with the different parts of an insect. In this one hour game, kindergarteners will use information given to them as clues from index cards to identify different types of insects placed in front of them.
