Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks for God, friends, family, food, shelter and anything else you
are thankful for.

The student will review prior information on the first Thanksgiving, and will learn more information about it.
1. The students will understand how the Pilgrims had to suffer through a long hard winter. The students will learn about being grateful for what they have.

The student will be able to understand the reasons why the Pilgrims and other passengers came to America.
The students will imagine what they think the First Thanksgiving was like and then draw a picture of themselves at the First Thanksgiving for a class book.
