Growing your child’s social maturity is so important! It’s not always easy to accept others at first glance. Opportunities that might ease feelings about people that are “different” can promote tolerance and understanding.
Simple instructions for using word processing or spreadsheet programs allow students to create a database/timeline of events in Black History that can be sequenced, sorted, and searched.
Students research the lives of historical figures.
Students will partner read a biography from a selection of well-know african-americans. -Students will list the key accomplishments of the individual and how they changed our society. -STudents will create a poster to share with others what they have learned about the contributions of these great citizens.
