Growing your child’s social maturity is so important! It’s not always easy to accept others at first glance. Opportunities that might ease feelings about people that are “different” can promote tolerance and understanding.
Students will partner read a biography from a selection of well-know African-Americans. -Students will list the key accomplishments of the individual and how they changed our society. -Students will create a poster to share with others what they have learned about the contributions of these great citizens.
Students will review Dr. King’s life. Walk with Martin Luther King, Jr. on his historic March on Washington, hear his inspirational “I Have a Dream” speech, and envision your own dreams of freedom for all Americans.
