Individually or in small groups, have students draw or use images from the internet and magazines to create colorful pictorial timelines of the evolution of Edison’s inventions. Pictures of Edison’s inventions can be found on all the pages referenced in this lesson. This lesson is designed to give students a basic background on the celebration of Kwanzaa.

We all know we want to stay out from under the mistletoe, but how many of us know how this tradition started? In this activity, students will research how that and many other Christmas traditions started. The student will be able to create a timeline showing when major changes and additions have happened in our Christmas traditions.
