Exercises for fine writing. (warm up)

Inventors And Inventions 2: Air And Space

Students will

* Understand the history of the space race and space exploration as a whole.
* Create a timeline detailing important events in the history of space exploration.
* Write a descriptive article about an important event in space exploration.

People And Space

Students will understand the following:
1. For preservation of food and space-saving storage, astronauts on space missions eat dehydrated foods.
2. Dehydration means “removal of water.”
3. Dehydrated foods can be consumed by mixing the food with saliva from the eater’s mouth or by adding water.

The American Flag

Teach your students about the American Flag, including its history, what the symbols represent, and the proper way to display it. Discuss how the American Flag has played a part in recent events. Then choose one or more of the American Flag activities for wearing, sharing, or displaying.
