Valentine’s Day

This is a good opportunity to teach children that God loves them unconditionally. Explain unconditional love
to them and how it applies to their everyday life.

New Year’s Day

Have children reflect on the previous year. Talk about what they did and what they might do differently in the
coming year. Make a list of resolutions. Point out that New Year’s Day is a day when God gives them a fresh
start.

Gideon Lesson Plan

The story of Gideon is mentioned in Judges 6 – 8.

Samson Lesson Plan

There are several places that mention Samson in the Bible. His birth is discussed in Judges 13:1-25. It talks
about his aging parents and his birth. Judges 16:4-31 is the place where the Bible talks about Samson meeting
Delilah and his eventual death.

Nehemiah Lesson Plan

There is a whole book in the bible telling his story. The story mentioned above is found at Nehemiah 1.
