Students will read “Hop on Pop” by Dr. Seuss and make a flip book of rhyming words The standard that is being addressed is: Demonstrate competence in the general skills and strategies of the reading process. Teacher will read the story “I Can Lick 30 Tigers Today!” from the Dr. Seuss book of the same title. I think that this book is easy enough for my first grade class to understand. It is also an entertaining selection. The students will listen to a story, then use the same format to write a class book. Students will read Dr. Seuss’ books and participate in different activities for 15 different books. |
