Lesson Plans - MarchSucceeding At Kite Day is a learning invitation that encourages students to design a successful kite for flying at the annual spring, school-wide Kite Day. Students make a LADYBUG art item using math vocabulary and measurements of circles. Previously written Haiku poems are affixed to the LADYBUG for a Spring display. Students will: Understand and use basic concepts and skills. Communicate clearly in oral, artistic, written and nonverbal form. The students will search for clovers in the playground. The students will create and interpret a bar graph, based on the number of clovers that they found. Students will play “Tape the Gold in the Pot”, a game that is similar to pin the tail on the donkey, with an Irish theme. |
