Lesson Plans - 3rd GradeSucceeding At Kite Day is a learning invitation that encourages students to design a successful kite for flying at the annual spring, school-wide Kite Day. Students make a LADYBUG art item using math vocabulary and measurements of circles. Previously written Haiku poems are affixed to the LADYBUG for a Spring display. Students will: Understand and use basic concepts and skills. Communicate clearly in oral, artistic, written and nonverbal form. Students will learn about St. Patrick’s Day history and fill out a True/False quiz, then create a craft based on an Irish blessing. This article provides background on the history of Saint Patrick’s Day, as well as fun facts and links to other resources for St. Patrick’s Day. |
