Lesson Plans - 4th Grade

Easter Egg Hunt

This lesson is intended to be a fun review of basic math facts. In grades 3 and 4 students are expected to retain basic math facts and sometimes do not have practice using them. With such an emphasis on testing, students tend to sit at their desk and do pencil and paper computation. There is nothing wrong with that, but it can get boring!

A good egg / Easter egg project

Students will paint their own Easter eggs in this fun activity

Spring Egg

· Students will experience a different type of art media.

Why Not a Woman?

You will work in groups to investigate some federal holidays and learn why those holidays are observed. Then your group will choose a woman it thinks should be honored with a federal holiday, and create a presentation to convince your classmates to nominate that woman.

Who Did That?

Students research remarkable women of today, write a biography about one of those women, and create a trivia game using facts from the women’s lives.
