Students will recognize how Blacks were treated during Martin Luther King’s life time. *Students will demonstrate their understanding of civil rights. *Students will identify ways that they can treat others more fairly, equally, and with respect. *Students will recognize that one effective way to voice your opinion is through peaceful speeches and marches. *Students will identify ways that they can help make Martin Luthers’ dream of peace a reality. To let children experience prejudice first hand, in reference to Martin Luther King Day. students will determine the water use in their home Identify and explain natural cycles of the Earth’s land, water and atmospheric systems (e.g., rock cycle, water cycle, weather patterns). |
