Creative Way to Teach the Writing Process

Fractions Game – ‘Complete Me’

Aim of the game:
- Fill in the whole shape by shading a specified fraction of
it. The winner is person who shades the final segment and
creates a whole.
How to Play:
1. This game can either be played in pairs with each person
playing against each other or as the teacher verses the

Writing Italics

Exercises for fine writing. (warm up)
Pupils are asked to do exercises with fingers, for example, pretending to play the piano, typing, climbing along a rope. (5/10 minutes)
They copy on a ruled paper for first grade specially created for them, the letters of the alphabet, uppercase and lowercase letters, in italics.

“Ancient China”

The inspiration for this lesson came from an Instructor magazine from January/February 2003!
Since I teach four different Ancient Civilizations – one each quarter of the year, finding technology-based lessons isn’t always easy, especially in ART!!! This was a really fun idea and the students really enjoyed it!
