Each year on December 1, millions of people throughout the world commemorate
World AIDS Day. World AIDS Day raises awareness of HIV and AIDS and is an
opportunity to take action on HIV prevention in schools. Teachers and their unions are
crucial to this campaign: they have a key role to play in education for HIV prevention
and advocacy for universal treatment, care and support.
