Students will partner read a biography from a selection of well-know african-americans. -Students will list the key accomplishments of the individual and how they changed our society. -STudents will create a poster to share with others what they have learned about the contributions of these great citizens.

African-American Hall of Fame

Students will complete a research project on an African American hero.

Is Racism Dead?

Students investigate events surrounding the integration of Little Rock (Arkansas) Central High School and explore racial harmony in their own school. Included: A survey to determine whether racism is dead at your school.

Valentine Cinquain Poems

Teach how to write a cinquain poem; and to enjoy creating a valentine for a loved one. THIS CUPID’S VALENTINE WILL BE A SURE HIT!

Mend My Broken Heart

A few days prior to Valentine’s Day, I cut out red &/or pink paper hearts. On each heart, I write a math problem on half of it, and the answer on the other half.
